Although the sky appeared visually overcast all night, I do not think the cloud was very thick. Coupled with very little aurora, this was enough that the SDI appeared to get sensible wind fields (despite weak signal). The SDI winds should definitely be regarded as tentative (due to this cloud), but my guess is that the data are fine. SDI temperatures look good, and should not be greatly contaminated by the cloud.
